Something new!
This month I have decided to introduce a Topple Academy Newsletter to keep you up to date with domino activities and news each month. The newsletter will start with Topple Academy workshops and related news then open up to any other business which directly links to us! The read should be around ~5 mins.
Domino Workshop Recap
Drop-Ins at Daventry Museum, Hunsbury Library and Far Cotton REC Centre were a blast! The biggest workshop to date with 73 participants at Daventry Museum – a special thank you to their consistent support of Topple Academy – and other locations being full to the brim of domino art!
Booked sessions took place at The Bede House and we had one Masterclass this month at Scribble Studio, which also included a special visit from the resident cat who likes to get his nose into whatever is going on down there when he can!

Upcoming Events!
Domino Masterclasses are returning sporadically… the next session is Thursday the 17th of September at 6:00pm-7:30pm and booking remains the same as previously – please email info@toppleacademy.com how many spaces you’d like to pre-book, and then payment is taken on the day in either cash or card.
These sessions are only limited to 8 people per session so that each child can have sufficient learning time and development of their skills The aim of the masterclass is to learn new techniques and topple your project together alongside others!
The next workshop takes place at Corby Library for their finale event of the Summer Reading Challenge in conjunction with Northants Libraries. If your child has completed their summer reading challenge they are welcome to come along to this final event and learn domino art completely free of charge! This takes place on Saturday the 19th of September and is bookable here!
In Other Domino News
In August 2025 a team of 8 builders jetted off to Italy to work on the largest KAPLA structure ever… it was a grand success and without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. Such a fantastic energy every single day working on this project. It was also the largest project I have ever been a part of, which was great to tick off. The full mini documentary by Raffaele Salvoldi has been posted to his YouTube channel this month. The video is around 8 minutes long and you can catch it here! The World Domino Collective (WDC) for 2026 took place on Friday August 21st. The team set up over 700,000 dominoes this year across two weeks and it was a grand topple! Information about the event can be found here! Once the full final video is posted I will also link it here😊
